Ben’s Truth

imageLisa, Bens mum. Says. ….I told them nearly 8 years ago that all I wanted was the truth because with the truth will come the justice and I told them I wouldn’t stop fighting until I got it…….they should of listened because nearly 8 years later and second time around I’m going for it, there won’t be a 3rd time. I’m wiser and know so much more now than I did back then.

Bens story Part 1.

Ben Morris

My son Ben, 20 years old died on Galleywood  ward just 3 weeks after he was admitted. In those 3 weeks my son was bullied by staff, wrongfully RESTRAINED Christmas Day while I was talking to Ben on the phone I heard it all, they admitted it but no one was disciplined. He was also put on the wrong medication and the dose was doubled within 2 weeks, sometimes this would be given twice a day as well as some off the staff couldn’t read the notes properly, again they admitted this but nothing was done. Then they tell me that my 13stone son hung himself from his wardrobe handle that was GLUED on. REALLY?????Bens story Part 1. Bens Story Part 2.

Sorry I got that wrong the hospital didn’t even tell me my son had died. Sunday 28th December at 21:50 Ben died. I called the hospital at 8:10 the next morning to see how Ben was and ward staff told me to call the police, straight away I called police to see if my son was there they said he wasn’t. I called galleywood ward straight back and asked to talk to Ben, they told me to call police again I asked what’s going on but they wouldn’t tell me anything, I called police again they checked custody and told me again that Ben wasn’t there, I called galleywood again and again they told me nothing, by now it was 8:45 and there was a knock on my front door. My heart sank my legs felt like lead somehow I think I knew POLICE 2 of them 1 man 1 lady they had come to tell me that Ben had died the NIGHT BEFORE. I think that was the longest hour of my life trying to find out where my son was and what had happened to him. They didn’t even have the decency to tell me that my precious son had died. He didn’t stand a chance and I wish to god I’d never trusted them with my sons life 💔

 Bens Story Part 3.

Bens story Part 4

I intend to give a full and though account of what I have been told happened to my beautiful boy whilst under the so called care of NEPFT..and apologise now if anyone finds this disturbing.
I intend to post in parts so you can all keep upto date on each post as I write it.

So post 4 is to share how the hospital and police supposedly found my son.

Shortly after Bens death a DI Thomas of Essex Police assigned himself to the investigation.
He phoned to introduce himself over the phone and then explained in great detail of how Ben had made a ligature from his belt and hung off the back of the bedroom door.
We discussed this at length for at least ten minutes …I asked had he stood on a chair? had he used a door hinge ? he told me he had somehow attached his belt to the back of the door and lifted his legs to suffocate himself.
And yet what follows proves this can’t have been the case.

Photo below shows a member of staff at the scene indicating the height he supposedly hung from See more

Bens story Part 5
So I some how managed to digest that my son had hung off the bedroom door,,but no,….
A few days later it changes to..
He hung off a wardrobe door. !!!!
How what where when????? Now I’m confused and distressed beyond belief.. So what happened???

The police officer, DI Thomas now informs me that my son had pushed a belt through a wardrobe handle ….and around his neck….
He was found on his knees..his bum..on the floor..all totally different accounts came in the statements from staff that followed.
My son was over thirteen stones in body weight..yet he was supposed to have hung on a wardrobe handle that was stuck….note stuck
….not screwed !!! To the door.
How is this possible that a five to ten millimetres circle blob of glue can take the weight of a thirteen stone body and not be pulled off????

I publish now the photo of said wardrobe and handle ..after the event..still attached to door.. Note no screws showing behind handle.

Bens story Part 6

The Belt.

My sons waist was 28 inches..the belt given in evidence to the police was 52 inches long.
I had never seen this belt before in my life and yet I was told it belonged to my son.
It has no bends or creases in it which could indicate that any weight or stress whilst being passed through a wardrobe handle and tied with a thirteen stone body hanging off it seems possible.
My son had blood around his neck where his thick gold chain had sunk into his skin. ,along with many other marks, which I will discuss in a further post….yet the belt itself shows not one iota of blood or sign of Bens dna.
In fact the police refused to take note of my concerns and check for DNA on the basis of expense.
