Isn’t it about time Chelmsford mental health boss broke silence about the Linden Centre?

A MOTHER of a patient who died at a mental health unit is demanding the man in charge breaks his silence – two months after a coroner ruled there should be an inquiry into the failing hospital.

At a January inquest into the death of 20-year-old Matthew Leahy, a jury ruled there had been “multiple failings” at Chelmsford’s Linden Centre, which resulted in two nurses being disciplined and another sacked.

Since then two more patients have died, seven former patients have spoken out at the “poor care” they received, and the coroner has heard two more inquests into the deaths of former patients.
